Svarte og Hvite Engler
Hei hei!
Håper alle har hatt en like bra påske som meg!
Innimellom får jeg spørsmål om å lage noen ganske så crazy bilder. Sånne idéer som du kanskje tenker “Haha, det skulle jeg likt å sett.” Slike bilder synes jeg er noe av det morsomste som finnes fordi det utfordrer meg som fotograf og retusjør. Forslaget fra kunden, som btw er et av de herligste parene ever, var “Svarte og Hvite Engler”.
Her er bildene av Erik og David tatt i studio, hvit engler på hvit bakgrunn og svarte engler på grå bakgrunn. Bakgrunnsbildet til Hvite Engler fant jeg laaaaaaangt bak i bildebanken, mens Svarte Engler bakgrunnen (det lille som synes) tok jeg dagen etter foto. Pass på at du har samme høyde på stativ/kamera, vinkel, brennvidde, fokus og blender i begge så er det mye lettere å sette sammen i ettertid. Lyssettingsmessig er det svært greit å ha et kantlys på personene som skal settes inn, for da kan det “liksom” være lyset fra sola. Det er som Jens Haugen sier i workshop’ene sine; “Så lenge ett lys stemmer så godtar man resten.”

Søndags shoot med Solveig
Alle i Oslo har sikkert fått med seg de intense regnskurene som har plutselig kommet de siste ukene. Dette var en slik dag. Solveig og jeg møttes ved Sofienberg parken for en TFP shoot, det regna litt men tenkte det sikkert ville avta. Etter ti minutter åpnet himmelen seg fullstendig! Vi fant det tjukkeste treet å kaste fotobagen under mens vi fortsatte shooten. Hår, klær, kamera og blits ble klissvåt og maskaraen til Solveig begynte å renne men vi fortsatte og det er jeg glad for ellers ville vi ikke fått til closeup bildet mot veggen som ble favoritten min.
Etter denne bløte opplevelsen har jeg lyst å fortsette med vann men i litt mer håndterlig form.
Trollrock | Lørdag 30. juli

I’ve been back for a month now and started shooting for a couple of fun projects and had the pleasure of shooting images of the band “Inman Hill”. You can check out their music on iTunes or Spotify, and follow them on Twitter or their Facebook page
In addition to shooting personal projects I’m out and about trying to hook up with advertising companies to get a few commercial jobs.

Stumbled upon a few images that I had forgotten about. Funny how that happens! All of these images, except the army dude showing his face, are composites. Composites are fun to do because you have alot of freedom, but it’s easy to mess up. The height in which all images for the composite must be as alike as possible, and a measuring tape is good for this. Measure the height of the camera and distance to where you want your model to be. I can post a tutorial on compositing later on I can leave you with a little tip before to tutorial; the most problematic thing is masking out the hair of a model into a location shot. To avoid LOADS of time spent fixing it to look good, try and beat around it by having the same tones behind the hair. One example would be to have something white (i.e. sheet of papir or a white t-shirt) behind the models’ head and when placing the model image into the location image you can make sure a bright cloud is behind his/her head, saveing you a bundle of time

Part two of three. A more graffic set of images. This effect can be achieved by using Levels in photoshop, pulling the White point to the left untill the majority of the image has been clipped, pulling the Black point to the right (if needed) to increase blacks, and adjusting the “MidGrey” slider ’till it looks good. An easy, single-layer fix
PSTEREO ’10
The PSTEREO festival this year was awesome (as it is every year!!) This was the festivals fourth year and it’s just getting better and better If you haven’t yet experienced it, you really have to go next year. In addition to a feelgood vibe, happy people and a great venue, they get a hold of some sweet artists such as Robyn, Dumdum Boys, Teddybears, The Pains Of Being Pure At Heart, Åge Aleksandersen, Band Of Skulls and Yacht & The Straight Gaze to name a few from this years festival. It was my third year as a photographer here and I felt it was about time to post some images, so here’s a small selection

New Bridal series!
Heya! New series on the go!! Bridal images Had my first shoot for this series a couple weeks ago with the help of Mads Heitmann (Stylist) and Maria Søbstad Hagen (Model). Mads and I have done a few shoots prior to this one and he never siezes to amaze me. Extremely talented! First time with Maria and she was really able to give me exactly what I wanted Here’s a taste of whats to come:
