Little Kristine

This september a little girl called Kristine was carried into the studio where I work (StudioG) by her proud mother. Little Kristine is only 16 days old and attending her first ever photoshoot :) Here’s the first image showing how she did:

Skislope Fine Art part 2

Part two of three. A more graffic set of images. This effect can be achieved by using Levels in photoshop, pulling the White point to the left untill the majority of the image has been clipped, pulling the Black point to the right (if needed) to increase blacks, and adjusting the “MidGrey” slider ’till it looks good. An easy, single-layer fix :)

Avatar (of course)

Ever since the movie Avatar there have been loads of “home made” avatars. I’ve managed to stay away from trying it out for a long time, but gave in to temptation the other day. So here’s my crack at it. In this image I didn’t want to distort too much over to the avatar creature look, but keep it somewhat human so let’s call it a 50/50 tradeoff ;) One of the best things about mucking around in photoshop like this is that you figure out shortcuts and neat tricks along the way that can be used in normal image editing.

New Bridal series!

Heya! New series on the go!! Bridal images :) Had my first shoot for this series a couple weeks ago with the help of Mads Heitmann (Stylist) and Maria Søbstad Hagen (Model). Mads and I have done a few shoots prior to this one and he never siezes to amaze me. Extremely talented! First time with Maria and she was really able to give me exactly what I wanted :) Here’s a taste of whats to come:

Orbis ringflashing

Ordered the Orbis ringflash a while back and finally got round to trying it out. Arv and I hooked up for a shoot before a sweet steak dinner! Nothing like that to recover from a night out :) The ringflash is a fun thing to use and the results look pretty sweet. Problem with it is; it’s a bit of a pain in the ass to use. I’ve got the bracket-arm or whatever it’s called, and the ringflash slides quite a bit when mounted. Putting that aside it is a neat little piece and here are some shots:

A “little” rain never hurts

Hooked up with Oskar Mellemsether and Vegar Edvardsen for a shoot here in Trondheim. We wondered over to Ilsvika, a part of town which offers a wide variety of backgrounds. Without any real plan about how the images were going to be or where to take them, we wondered around in the rain stopping at random spots. I’m very thankful for my Dakine Sequence backpack for keeping the equipment dry (one of the best buys of my life!). A fun shoot and now we’re all waiting for summer and sun which has not yet come.

Another fun shoot with Tina

Got together with Tina in our studio (Studio G Heimdal) again. We always have a great time, and this time we were trying out  different poses. Got some cool shots of her dog as well for a fun series I’m working on :)

Morning Glory

Getting any sleep on a buss is a serious pain, even if it is called a “night buss”.  After a night of reading with the aircondition uncontrollably blasting in my face and a young couple sucking each others face beside me, dawn came. A foggy morning through the heavy eyes of a foggy mind (haha, that’s deep). And here are few truely epic masterpieces ;) epic… truely..

Going for an extreme low-key feel with these.

Mats Heitmann is an extremely talented hairdresser whom I’ve had the pleasure of working with. Here are the first three images from the shoot on sunday. Looking forward to our next collaboration :)
